Halal matchmaking for the Amazigh community
My role
Solo developer — product design around the community's requirements, Flutter app, Firebase realtime backend, moderation and privacy controls, Play Store release.
The problem
The Algerian Berber (Amazigh) community had no dedicated matchmaking platform that respected their cultural and religious values. Mainstream dating apps are built around casual browsing, which is the wrong shape entirely for people seeking marriage.
What I built
I built a halal matchmaking app designed around the community's norms rather than retrofitted onto a dating template: intentional profiles, respectful communication flows with the right gates in the right places, and privacy controls that reflect how these introductions actually happen.
The outcome
A culturally authentic platform serving a community mainstream apps overlook, live on Google Play.
