Hire me

You're hiring an engineer, not an agency.

No account manager, no rotating team, no scope disappearing into a process. You talk to the person who writes the code, and that person is accountable for the whole thing.

01 — Ways to work together

Three ways to work with me

Companies hiring a senior engineer

Full-time remote role

I join your team as an employee or long-term contractor and own features end to end — mobile, web, or both. You get someone who has shipped fifteen-plus products to production and dealt with everything that happens after launch, not just the happy path.

  • Full ownership of features from spec to store release
  • Mobile (Flutter) and web (React / Next.js) in one person
  • Code review, documentation and handover as standard
  • Comfortable as the only engineer, or inside an existing team

Ideal if

  • You need one engineer who can carry a product alone
  • Your team is distributed and async-first
  • You want mobile and web depth without two hires

Send me the role

Teams who need capacity now

Contract & fractional

A fixed number of days a week for an agreed period. Good when you have more roadmap than engineers, need a specialist for one platform, or want to move fast on something without opening a headcount.

  • An agreed weekly cadence, invoiced monthly
  • Direct access to me — no account manager in between
  • Weekly demo builds you can actually tap through
  • Notice period both ways, so nobody is trapped

Ideal if

  • You need mobile expertise your team does not have
  • A deadline is close and the roadmap is not
  • You want to try before committing to a full-time hire

2–4 days/week · rolling monthly · 2 weeks' notice

Talk about capacity

Founders and businesses with a defined build

Fixed-scope project

You describe the product, I scope it precisely and quote a fixed price against a written scope. Then I build it, ship it to the stores or the web, and hand over everything. This is how most of the work in my portfolio was done.

  • Fixed price against a written scope — no moving numbers
  • Design, build, deployment and store submission
  • Weekly demo builds throughout, not a reveal at the end
  • Full source code, documentation and infrastructure access on completion

Ideal if

  • You know roughly what you want built
  • You would rather own the software than rent it
  • You want one person accountable for the whole thing

02 — What I build

Three disciplines, one engineer

Mobile app development

Most of what I have shipped lives on a phone. I design, build and launch mobile apps that feel native on both iOS and Android from a single Flutter codebase, which roughly halves time to market without halving the quality. I have worked across most categories — marketplaces, social platforms, meditation apps, AI assistants and field tools — and I handle the parts people forget are part of the job: store listings, review feedback, and the release after the release.

  • iOS and Android apps from one Flutter codebase
  • UI/UX design that respects each platform's conventions
  • Backend, database and API integration (Firebase, Supabase, custom)
  • Push notifications, in-app purchases, analytics
  • App Store and Google Play submission handled end to end
  • Post-launch maintenance and iteration

Web development

A slow, invisible website is a liability. I build web platforms that load instantly, rank on Google and turn visitors into customers — from marketing sites and dashboards through to full SaaS products. Everything is server-rendered, performance-budgeted, and built on the same stack behind the fastest sites on the web. This site is one of them; measure it.

  • Marketing sites, dashboards and full web applications
  • SEO-first architecture: server rendering, structured data, Core Web Vitals
  • Responsive design that holds up on every screen
  • CMS and content workflows when you need them
  • Authentication, payments and third-party integrations
  • Deployment, monitoring and performance budgets

Custom software & internal tools

Off-the-shelf software forces your business into someone else's shape. I build systems around your workflows instead — CRMs, operations platforms, automation pipelines and client portals. The result is less manual work, fewer subscriptions, and software that becomes an advantage rather than a monthly expense. The surveyor operations platform in my work section is the clearest example: compliance that used to be chased by an administrator is now enforced by the system.

  • Custom CRMs and lead-management systems
  • Internal tools, admin dashboards and operations platforms
  • Workflow automation and third-party integrations
  • Client portals and booking systems
  • Data migration from spreadsheets and legacy tools
  • Training, documentation and long-term support

04 / How I work

From idea to launch, without the black box

A process built on visibility, so you always know what is happening and what comes next.

01

Scope

A short call to map your goals, users and constraints. You get a fixed-price proposal with a real timeline, usually within a day or two — and an honest answer if I think you should build something smaller.

02

Design

Wireframes through to polished UI, iterated with you. You see and approve exactly what will be built before I write a line of code.

03

Build in the open

Weekly demo builds you can tap through on your own phone. Progress you can see for yourself, not a status report you have to take my word for.

04

Ship & iterate

App-store submission, deployment and monitoring handled — the parts people forget are part of the job. Then the iteration starts. Most of my clients are still shipping with me long after v1.

05 — Straight answers

Common questions

How long does an app take to build?

Most apps ship in two to four weeks. Products with a heavier custom backend take longer. I scope precisely before starting, so you get a real timeline rather than one that moves.

Do you build for both iOS and Android?

Yes. Every app I build runs on both platforms from a single Flutter codebase — faster delivery and one consistent experience, without doubling the budget.

Do you handle App Store and Google Play publishing?

Completely. I manage store listings, screenshots, review requirements and submissions, then work through any review feedback until the app is live. Nine of my projects are on the stores now.

What happens after launch?

I offer ongoing maintenance covering OS updates, bug fixes and new features. Most clients keep working with me long after v1 ships.

Will my site actually rank?

I build SEO-first: server-rendered HTML, structured data, fast Core Web Vitals and clean semantic markup. Rankings also depend on content and competition, but technically your site will start ahead of most of the market.

Can you redesign or migrate an existing site?

Yes. I regularly migrate sites off WordPress, Wix and page builders onto a modern stack, preserving SEO with proper redirects while dramatically improving speed.

Do you build web apps, or just websites?

Both. Beyond marketing sites I build full products: dashboards, portals, booking systems and SaaS applications with authentication, payments and real-time features.

Why build custom instead of buying something off the shelf?

When your team spends hours working around a tool's limitations, or you are paying for five subscriptions that each almost do the job, custom pays for itself. You own it, it fits exactly, and it scales with you rather than charging you per seat for growing.

Can you integrate with the tools we already use?

Yes. I routinely integrate payment processors, email platforms, calendars, accounting tools and anything else with an API, so a new system works with your existing stack rather than against it.

Who owns the code?

You do. Full source code, documentation and infrastructure access are handed over on completion. No lock-in, ever.
